Worth Reading Room   Installation
We are fine artists, curators, and freelance designers. WORTH produces a wide range of art projects and events. We want to redefine preconceived and outdated ideas of what art is and how it should be presented. WORTH is accessible, inclusive, imaginative, and innovative.
Past projects have evolved from and are inspired by our relationships with particular historical sites and a diverse range of urban spaces. WORTH strives to be sensitive to these particular historical and environmental contexts while at the same time challenging established ideas of what these spaces mean, opening them up to the public and allowing artists’ work to be seen in unexpected ways.
We first produced a series of big public art events in the derelict Midland Grand Hotel and St Pancras Station including one of the largest group shows of the late 90s which brought together the work of over 70 artists. WORTH also devised a series of cabarets at various London venues including the Poetry Society, Public Life, and St Pancras. More recently we introduced contemporary dance and kenetic installation at the London Art and Design Show.
An important aspect of our work is design consultancy. In 2004 WORTH was commissioned by Camden Council to remodel a major public space at Camden Town Hall.
Our next project is a curated show at Swiss Cottage Central Library looking at contemporary design in the everyday world.
WORTH is organic, ever evolving and always open to new ideas. Our studio is an adaptable space where we make these things happen.
